A player must always ensure that it is safe to play a shot, before doing so.
Having played a shot where there is danger to others a player must shout a warning (FORE!).
Golf shoes with spikes or soft spikes in good condition, must be worn on the course at all times.
Players are individually responsible for ensuring they are correctly insured against all risks.
The river banks on the course are steep and slippery and players are not encouraged to enter areas where the risk of falling into water would place them at risk of falling in.
When playing a hole that has greenskeepers at work a player should not play a shot so as to endanger them without them first acknowledging your presence.
PACE OF PLAY
Please play Ready Golf.
The expected maximum time for a 4 ball to play 9 holes at Yeovil Golf Club is 1 hour 48 minutes.
Play should be continuous (without undue delay).
Players must keep pace with the group in FRONT.
It is the player’s responsibility to maintain the correct pace of play.
In the event of a lost ball, call the group behind to play through irrespective of number of players.
Rangers monitor the course, if persistent slow play occurs you may be asked to leave the golf course.
Priority on the course is determined by a group’s pace of play. Any group playing a whole round is entitled to pass a group playing a shorter round. The term ”group” includes a single player.
Priority on the course should be given to the match that is ‘ahead’.
