Local Rules

1. Out of Bounds Rule 18.2

  1. Out of bounds is defined by the line between the course-side at ground level of white stakes and fence posts.
  2. Beyond any hedge, fence, gate or line of white stakes bounding the course.
  3. Beyond the line of white stakes and the white line surrounding the Clubhouse, car park and driveway.

 

2. Wrong Green Rule 13.1f

The putting greens to the right of the 10th and the 13th fairways are wrong greens.

 

3. Abnormal Course Conditions Rule 16

Young Trees are identified by attached stakes and/or protective tubing.

A player MUST take relief from interference from such a tree, except where relief is clearly unreasonable (see Rule16.1a(3)).

 

4. Fixed Sprinkler Heads Rule 16.1

Interference exists when an immovable obstruction (eg fixed sprinkler head) is on the player’s line of play, is within two club-lengths of the putting green, and is within two club-lengths of the ball. The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b, except if the player chooses a line of play that is clearly unreasonable.

 

5. Fairway Distance Markers Rule 16.1

These are immovable obstructions (relief under Rule 16.1b). Measurements are to the centre of the green.

Breach of Local Rules - Unless otherwise stated the penalty for a breach is the General Penalty:

Match Play - loss of hole / Stroke Play - two strokes.

 

Etiquette

All players must repair pitch marks, replace divots and rake holes and footprints in bunkers.

Players must keep trolleys & buggies away from the fringes of the greens and greenside bunkers.

Groups must play at a reasonable pace to avoid delaying other players. A three ball Group should take no longer than 3 hours 40 mins.

 

Ready Golf

When circumstances allow players are allowed and encouraged to play out of turn in stroke play events.

 

Suspension of Play Rule 5.7

A player may stop play if they reasonably believe there is a danger from lightning.

If there is a risk of lightning play must be discontinued and players must proceed in accordance with Rule 5.7b.

The following signals will be used for suspension of play:

Immediate Stop:   One prolonged note of the siren.

Normal Stop:        Three consecutive notes of the siren.

Resume Play:       Two short notes of the siren.

 

Fog and Reduced Visibility

The fact that the course has not been officially closed does not warrant that it is fit for play.

Players have a duty of care to behave in such a way that others will not be injured by their actions.

They also have a duty of care not to injure themselves.
