In addition, if a ball lies in the General Area and a fixed sprinkler head is on or within two club-lengths of the ball and intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief by dropping the original ball or another ball in this relief area (see Rule 14.3):

Reference Point: The nearest point of complete relief in the general area.

Size of relief area measured from reference point: One club-length, but these limits: Limits on location of relief area:

b. Must not be nearer the hole than the reference point, and;

c. There must be complete relief from all interference by the fixed sprinkler head.

If the ball lies on the putting green and the fixed sprinkler head is within two club-lengths of the putting green and intervenes on the line of putt, the player may take relief as follows:

The ball must be lifted and placed at the nearest point to where the ball lay that (a) is not nearer the hole, (b) avoids intervention and (c) is not in a bunker or penalty area. The ball may be cleaned when lifted.

Exception: A player may not take relief under this local rule if interference by anything other than the sprinkler head makes the stroke clearly impracticable.

Temporary Local Rule – Drainage Work Areas on Hole 1 & 15

1. No Play Zones – Sanded Drainage Scars & Newly turfed areas

The sanded, infilled ditches from drainage work & all newly turfed areas are deemed No Play Zones. If a player’s ball is in or touching one of these areas, or if the area interferes with their stance or swing, they must take full relief under Rule 16.1b. This includes relief from standing on the channels. The nearest point of complete relief must be determined, and the ball must be dropped within one club-length of that point, no nearer the hole.

The recently turfed area in the filled-in bunker to the left of the 1st green is classified as GUR. Normal optional GUR relief rules apply. A drop zone is also available for this GUR area on the 1st hole.

If Stage 1 is in play, the player may then proceed under stage 1 local rule and lift, clean & place if the ball lies on the fairway.

2. Ground Under Repair (GUR) – Spoil Areas

The spoil areas (soil extracted from drainage channels) are designated as Ground Under Repair (GUR) and are marked with white paint. Players may:
- Take free relief under Rule 16.1b, dropping the ball within one club-length of the nearest point of complete relief, no nearer the hole.
- Use an optional drop zone if provided.
- Play the ball as it lies if they prefer.

3. Restrictions on Golf Trolleys and Buggies

To protect newly seeded areas, the following restrictions apply:
- First Hole: No golf trolleys or buggies are permitted on the left fairway.
- 15th Hole: No golf trolleys or buggies may cross the sanded drainage channels. Players must keep trolleys and buggies on the Left or right-hand side of the Fairway and follow a 90° rule, walking to their ball and back.

4. Relief from Tractor Wheel Ruts

Severe tractor wheel ruts within the developed areas are considered abnormal course conditions. If a player’s ball lies in a rut or their stance is affected, they may take full relief under Rule 16.1b.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience while these improvements take effect. Thank you for your understanding.
