Dress Code

Royal Eastbourne Golf Club aims to operate a contemporary and forward-thinking dress policy and trust its members and visitors to maintain a good standard of dress on and off the golf course.

ON THE COURSE
Golfers to wear recognised, appropriate golfing attire of a style and design that could be readily purchased in any professional golf retail outlet. This excludes t-shirts, cargo shorts, track suits, jeans, and trainers.

Shirts are to be tucked in at all times unless designed to be worn outside as with some ladies’ shirts.

Hats are to be worn correctly at all times ‘peaks forward’ and removed when entering the club house.

Please use the locker rooms when changing clothes and shoes unless for some reason the clubhouse is closed.

IN THE CLUBHOUSE
Out of respect for other visitors and members who may be visiting the Club, we would ask that you always wear smart casual clothing.

Clean and dry pimple soled golf shoes are acceptable in the clubhouse during the summer months (1 April – 31 October).

The dress code for social events at Royal Eastbourne will be clearly shown in the advertising information, and for private functions the form of dress will be agreed in advance between the host and the Bar & Catering Manager.

The Club does reserve the right to refuse admission to the course and/or the clubhouse if, in the opinion of an authorised person, any individual acts or dresses in a manner which does not comply with Royal Eastbourne Golf Clubs Dress Code Policy.
