Local Rules
1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 18.2)
a) Beyond any fence, hedge or wall defining the boundary of the course.
b) Area to the right of the 18th fairway as marked by white posts.
c) On or over the path including its edging or white lines around the clubhouse, 1st tee and 18th fairway.
2. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 16)
a) All staked trees are immovable obstructions.
b) All pegs and tie ropes which support young trees (not being staked trees) are immovable obstructions.
3. PATHWAYS AND DRAINS (Rule 16)
All artificial pathways and unturfed drains not otherwise marked throughout the course are immovable obstructions.
4. FIXED SPRINKLER HEADS (Rule 16)
Relief from interference by an immovable obstruction may be taken under Rule 16.1.
The player also has these extra options to take relief when such an immovable obstruction close to the putting green and on the line of play:
Ball in General Area: The player may take free relief under Rule16.1b if an immovable obstruction is:
• On the line of play, and is:
• Within two club-lengths of the putting green, and
• Within two club-lengths of the ball.
Exception: There is no relief under this Local Rule if the player chooses a line of play that is clearly unreasonable.
5. PRACTICE PUTTING GREENS
The practice putting green and the putting green on the Practice Ground are wrong greens – Rule 13.1f applies.
6. PENALTY AREAS (Rule 17)
Penalty Areas are defined by yellow stakes.
