Local Rules

1. Out of Bounds (Rule 18.2) Out of Bounds is defined by:

  1. Beyond any white stakes, white lines or fence posts bounding the Course.
  2. Beyond the white stakes to the right of the 1st hole.
  3. Beyond the stakes surrounding the Greenkeepers Unit.

 

2. Integral Parts of the Course (Rule 8.1a)

Artificial objects defining or showing out of bounds, such as walls, fences, stakes and railings, from which free relief is not allowed. The ball must be played as it lies or declared unplayable (Rule 28).

 

3. Immovable Obstructions (Rule 16.1b) 

  1. All roadways and pathways throughout the Course.
  2. All concrete platforms or wooden sleepers over drains.

 

4. Stones in Bunkers (Rule 24.1)

Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions.

 

5. Practice Putting Green(Rule 25.3)

The practice putting greens are wrong greens.

 

6. Ground Under Repair(Rule 25.1)

A ball lying on seeded ground or on or within an area marked by closed blue lines or blue posts is Ground under Repair.

 

7. Fixed Sprinkler Heads(Rule 24-2)

All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 24.2 (Appendix 1 - 4a). In addition, if such an obstruction on or within two club lengths of the putting green of the hole being played intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may obtain relief, without penalty, as follows:-

If the ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and is within two club lengths of the intervening obstruction, it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay which (a) is not nearer the hole, (b) avoids such intervention, and (c) is not a hazard or on the putting green.

 

8. Measuring Devices

For all play at this course a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only.

 

9. Temporary Local Rule

Any temporary Local Rule will be defined on the Notice Board.

 

Penalty for breach of Local Rule:

Match Play – Loss of hole; Stroke Play – Two Strokes.

 

Distance Markers:

 Blue – 200 yards

Yellow – 150 yards

Red – 100 yards

Markers to the Centre of the green
