Local Rules

Out of Bounds (Rule 18)

• Out of bounds is defined by the line between the course side points at ground level of white stakes and white topped fence posts and beyond any boundary hedges.

• The Clubhouse complex, patio and paved areas including all retaining walls and kerbs.

The practice ground right of the 15th and 16th holes as defined by white stakes.

 

INTERNAL OUT OF BOUNDS: When playing the 2nd hole only; the area enclosed by white stakes surrounding the 4th hole green, green surround and fairway approach. These stakes are treated as boundary objects during the play of the 2nd hole. For all other holes these are immovable obstructions.

 

Abnormal Course Conditions including Immovable Obstructions (Rule 16)

(Relief may be taken at the player’s option)

• Fixed course furniture.

• Artificially surfaced paths including edging-sleepers.

• Sprinkler heads.

• Electricity pole left of the 14th hole.

 

No Play Zones (play prohibited; relief must be taken)

• Areas as defined by white lines and/or NPZ signs.

• Interference from a staked tree.

• Interference from any wire-fence protected plantation.

 

Movable Obstructions (Rule 15)

• Sighting posts (red & white) right of the 16th and 17th holes.

• Distance marker posts.

Note: White stakes defining or indicating out of bounds are deemed to be fixed and must not be moved.

 

PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULES

• Stroke Play; Two Strokes.

• Match Play; Loss of Hole.

Distances from marker posts are 150 yards to the centre of greens
