Dress Code for Societies and Visitors

At Orsett we try to make every visitor to the Club feel special and enjoy their day. Being a traditional Members Club we like to uphold many values the Members hold dear. The most sensitive issues are always dress code & etiquette, please take a few seconds to read the below, it can save you both an embarrassing moment and a few pounds!

Please read full dress code for Course and Clubhouse prior to your visit: Updated – Dress Code July 2023

We are very fortunate to have an exceptionally well stocked Professional shop who will be able to assist if you require any golfing attire for your day.

If due to inclement weather, you are wearing any waterproofs these should be removed before entering the restaurant or bar areas. If your golf attire is wet or soiled, you should change before entering the bar area.

Mobile Phones maybe used as electronic devices but should always be set to silent, you may make or receive calls whilst in the Car Park or Club foyer.

At Orsett we encourage a high level of etiquette to all our fellow golfers and players should always ensure pitchmarks are repaired, divots replaced and bunkers raked, there is nothing more frustrating than having your scorecard ruined by one of those misdemeanours.

Play for all visitors will be from the yellow tees, there are yardage indicators on the course as well as a modern course planner available. Paths should be used where provided, trolleys and buggies should always stay fairway side of greenside bunkers and away from the teeing & putting surfaces.
