Local Rules

1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 18.2)

  1. Beyond any fence or line of white posts bounding the course.
  2. In or beyond the trench surrounding the putting green.
  3. On or over the white line surrounding the Clubhouse and between the white posts behind the 18th green.

Note 1: Where any continuing or adjoining white line is in existence it defines the boundary. A ball is out of bounds when all of it lies over such line.

Note 2: The paling fence to the left of the 15th hole is not a boundary fence (Rule 16.1b Immovable obstruction applies).

2. PENALTY AREA (Rule 17)

Yellow penalty areas marked with yellow lines or yellow stakes.

Red penalty areas are marked with red lines or red stakes.

Note: Where both lines and stakes are in existence, the lines define the boundary.

3. ROADS AND PATHS

All roads and paths are integral parts of the course. The ball must be played as it lies or declared unplayable (Rule 19 applies).

4. PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES

Young trees identified by stakes or wire meshing are no play zones and relief MUST be taken as prescribed in Rule 16.1f.

5. FIXED SPRINKLER HEADS

Ball in General Area: the player may take relief under Rule 16.1b if an immovable obstruction is on the line of play and is within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball.

There is no relief under this Local Rule if the player chooses a line of play that is clearly unreasonable.

6. DANGEROUS SITUATIONS SUCH AS LIGHTNING, FOG ETC

Play is stopped by one prolonged sound of the horn. On hearing this, players should suspend play and leave the course. Under the Rules of Golf, players may suspend play on their own authority where there is any danger from lightning even though the horn has not sounded.
