1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 18)
(a) Beyond any fence, hedge, wall or line of white stakes bounding the course.
(b) On or over the car park and surrounds of and including the Hotel and Golf Centre defined by white posts.

INTERNAL OUT OF BOUNDS
(a) Beyond the line of white stakes to the left of the 8th hole when playing the 8th.
(b) Beyond the line of white stakes to the right of the 18th hole when playing the 18th.

2. PENALTY AREAS – are defined by Red Stakes and/or Red Lines (Rule 17)
DROPPING ZONE
If a ball is in the penalty area at the rear and left of the 13th green, including when it is known or
virtually certain that a ball that has not been found came to rest in the penalty area, the player may:
• Take stroke and distance relief under Rule 17.1d(1) adding one penalty stroke
or
• Drop the original ball or another ball in the designated dropping zone adding one penalty
stroke. The dropping zone is a relief area under Rule 14.3

3. PROTECTION FROM YOUNG TREES
The young trees identified by being attached to a stake/protective band are NO PLAY zones.
• If a player’s ball lies anywhere on the course other than in a penalty area and it lies on or touches such a tree or such a tree interferes with the player’s stance or area of intended swing, the player must take relief under Rule 16.1f

ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITIONS (INCLUDING IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS) (Rule 16)
• Ground under repair is defined by any area encircled by a white line and/or GUR signs.
It also includes:-
• Areas in bunkers where sand has been removed by the movement of water resulting in deep furrows through the sand are ground under repair.
• When bunkers are flooded bunkers become ground under repair.
• All alternative greens when not in use.
The following are classed as Abnormal Course Conditions/Immovable Obstructions and relief without penalty is provided in accordance with Rule 16.1:
(a) All paths and roadways and distance markers (where embedded within the fairway)
(b) Drainage covers and sprinkler heads.

Match Play - Loss of Hole
Stroke Play - Two Strokes
