AGREEMENT & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

 Any person who operates a Ride-on buggy on DGC Trading LTD premises is deemed to have the knowledge, training and skill to safely operate the vehicle and shall be fully accountable for their actions and consequences thereof.

The safe operation of Ride-on buggies require adherence to the minimum standard of care prescribed by the policy.

By signing below, I acknowledge that:

        I   have read The DGC Trading LTD Buggy Safety Policy. 

        I am competent to drive a golf buggy.

        I   understand the terms and conditions of The DGC Trading LTD Golf Buggy Safety Policy.

        I have been given the opportunity to ask questions related to this Policy. 

        I am aware of the areas where I am unable to take a Ride-on buggy. 

        I will ensure that the buggy will be maintained and operated in accordance with The DGC Trading LTD Golf Buggy Safety Policy.

        I acknowledge that DGC Trading LTD is not responsible for any damage caused to the buggy whilst in my control due to careless or reckless driving.

•     I agree to indemnify DGC Trading LTD against all claims, costs and demands made against DGC Trading LTD arising out of or in connection with the use of the golf buggy.

Terms and Conditions of Buggy Hire
  • All operators of buggies must sign a Hire Form before they are allowed to drive the buggy.
  • New members to the Club and members renewing their membership will be considered to have signed and understood the conditions of buggy use at DGC Trading LTD by paying their annual membership subscription. However, they will be asked to sign a copy of this form on an annual basis.
  • The users of the golf buggies do so at their own risk.
  • The user of the golf buggy will be liable for any damage or injury, including damage to the buggy, caused by negligent operation.
  • DGC Trading LTD does not accept liability for damage or personal injury to any passenger or other persons whilst the buggy is in the care and/or control of the user.
  • The user of the golf buggy shall read and adhere to the Golf Club Buggy Safety Policy.
  • The user of the buggy shall read and adhere to the operating and safety instructions displayed on the steering wheel of the buggy.
  • The buggy shall only be driven by a person of at least 17 years of age who holds a current driving licence without any convictions.
  • Buggies must never be taken onto tees, greens or through long rough. They should be kept a minimum of 5 yards from these areas, sticking to paths, fairways and semi-rough where possible.
  • The buggy shall only be used to carry a maximum of 2 persons and 2 golf bags.
  • Extra care must be taken in wet conditions.
  • Any person who chooses to operate a buggy on the golf course is deemed, by doing so, to have the knowledge, training and skill to safely operate this vehicle and be fully accountable for their actions and the consequences thereof. The safe operation of buggies requires care and adherence to the minimum standard prescribed by the Buggy Safety Policy.
  • There will be times when course or weather conditions make it inappropriate to use a buggy on certain areas or the entire course. Users must abide by safety decisions made by the club’s staff.
  • Failure to comply with these Conditions of Hire may lead to the hirer and their playing partners being asked to leave the course.
  • Offenders may be excluded from future playing privileges at DGC Trading LTD.
