Local Rules

OUT OF BOUNDS (RULE 18)

On or beyond any boundary wall, fence, white stakes and/or lines, surrounds of clubhouse.

PENALTY AREA (RULE 17)

Yellow Penalty Area are marked with yellow stakes and/or lines.

Red Penalty Area are marked with red stakes and/ or lines.

If a ball is in or lost in the Red Penalty Area behind the 3rd green, as an addition to the options provided by Rule 17 a ball may be dropped within the nearest dropping zone.

GROUND UNDER REPAIR (RULE 16)

All areas marked GUR or enclosed within white lines. Ball MAY be lifted and dropped without penalty.

On seeded areas (with the exception of seeded divots) and areas prepared for winter greens ball MUST be lifted and dropped without penalty.

PROTECTION OF STAKED TREES (RULE 16)

If a staked tree or trees less than two club-lengths in height interferes with a player's stance or area of their intended swing, the ball MAY be lifted and dropped, without penalty.

IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (RULE 16)

All roads, paths, bridges, parapets, steps and yardage markers.

Fixed sprinkler heads.  If the immovable obstruction lies in the general area and within two club lengths of the green and within two club lengths of the ball and is on the intended line to play then the player may take free relief.

MOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (RULE 15)

Stones in bunkers. Animal droppings.

If your golf ball lands in the spindle of a wizard bunker rake, please take the following relief:

- If the golf ball is touching the sand, please place the ball as close to the original spot in the sand as possible.

- If the ball is not touching the sand, please take a drop as close to the original spot in the sand as possible.

NOTES/ETIQUETTE

Players MUST replace divots, repair pitch marks on green, rake marks and footprints in bunkers.

Deeside have adopted the "Ready Golf Policy" including pace of play – it is the groups responsibility to keep up with the group in front and if it loses a clear hole should invite the group behind to play through. The term group includes a single player.

A match playing a whole round shall be entitled to pass a match playing a shorter round.

Penalty for Breach of Local Rule:

Match Play - Loss of Hole;

Stroke Play - Two Strokes.
