Local Rules
1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 18.2)
Beyond all fences, hedges, walls, white posts or white lines forming the boundaries of the course.
2. STAKED TREES
Any staked (young) tree interfering with a player's stance or area of intended swing must be regarded as a No Play Zone and relief must be taken under Rule 16.1f.
3. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Rule 16.1)
(Excluding when the ball lies in a Penalty Area)
a) Play is prohibited from any area deem GUR, whether white lined, roped off, or marked with blue posts. Relief must be taken under one of the options in Rule 16.1.
b) In the General Area deep tractor marks & drainage cuts shall be deemed GUR.
4. BUNKERS THAT ARE GUR
a) Bunkers that are GUR are deemed to be in the General Area and relief without penalty must be taken under Rule 16.1b.
b) Areas in Bunkers where sand has been removed by the movement of water resulting in deep furrows through the sand are Ground Under Repair and relief must be taken, in the Bunker without penalty, or outside the Bunker Back-On-the-Line Relief for one penalty stroke.
5. PENALTY AREAS (Rules 17.1)
a) Penalty Areas are defined by yellow posts or yellow lines.
b) Lateral Penalty Areas are defined by red posts or red lines.
c) Unmarked ditches are to be treated as Red Penalty Areas. HOLE 11 only. Ball Played Provisionally Under Rule 18.3. If a Player does not know whether his or her ball is in the Penalty Area on the 11th, the player may play a provisional ball under Rule 18.3 modified in this way: in playing the Provisional ball, the player may use any of the relief under Rules 17.1d(1), 17.1d(2), or if the ball is in the red section of the Penalty Area 17,1d(3). If the original ball is found outside the Penalty Area, the player must continue play with it. If the original ball is found in the Penalty Area, the player may either play it as it lies, or continue play with the ball played provisionally under Rule 18.3. If the original ball is not found or identified within the three-minute search period, the player must continue with the ball played provisionally.
6. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 16.1)
All steps, bridges, artificially surfaced paths, roads or tracks, seats, ball washers, distance-marker-stones and all fixed sprinkler heads and other irrigation system installations on the course are immovable obstructions and relief from them may be obtained without Penalty under Rule 16.1b.
Fixed Sprinkler Heads. if the ball lies off the putting green in the General Area and such an obstruction, within two club-lengths of the putting green, intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may also take relief under Rule 16.1b by dropping a ball in the relief area.
7. TEMPORARY LOCAL RULES
Temporary rules are displayed on the Notice Board outside the professional's shop and all players should familiarise themselves with them before starting their round.
8. PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULES:
Match Play = Loss of Hole; Stroke Play - Two Strokes.
