Local Rules

1. OUT OF BOUNDS (RULE 18.2)

  1. Beyond all boundary fences and/or white posts.
  2. In or beyond the ditches on the right of 1st, 2nd and 10th holes (marked by white posts with black tops).
  3. On or beyond the paths surrounding the clubhouse.
  4. During play of hole 12, the practice area denoted by white or blue stakes, is out of bounds.
    The white or blue stakes are boundary objects during the play of hole 12. For all other holes, they are immovable obstructions.

 

2. PENALTY AREA (RULE 17)

  1. Yellow penalty areas marked with yellow stakes (Rules 17.1d(1) and (2)).
  2. Red penalty areas marked with red stakes (Rule 17.1d(3)).
  3. Bridges are classed as in the penalty area.

3. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (RULE 16)

  1. Irrigation heads and boxes, drainage covers, staked trees, posts on the 16th and around the clubhouse, course furniture, tee steps, artificially surfaced footpaths (except those crossing penalty areas).
  2. All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions: When a ball lies in the general area, interference also exists if an immovable obstruction is: on the player’s line of play, is within two club-lengths of the putting green and is within two club‑lengths of the ball. The player may take relief under Rule 16.1b.

(Exception - There is no relief under this Local Rule if the player chooses a line of play that is clearly unreasonable).

4. GROUND UNDER REPAIR When play is prohibited (RULE 16)

  1. The practice putting green, shrubs surrounding it and any deep ruts (not shallow indentations) are GUR.
  2. When applicable, temporary areas of GUR will be marked by white lines or signs.

5. PUTTING GREEN

If a ball lies on the putting green and a recently repaired or damaged area intervenes on the line of the putt, relief may be taken by lifting and placing the ball not nearer the hole.

6. DANGEROUS WEATHER (RULE 5.7)

A player should discontinue play if there is danger from lightning at any time, if you continue you do so at your own risk.

During competition the professional/committee will suspend the competition by sounding the siren;

Suspend competition – One long note on the siren,

Resume competition – Two short notes of the siren.

The time between suspension and resumption of the competition NO shots are to be taken.

 

PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULES:

Match Play - Loss of Hole;

Stroke Play - Two Shot Penalty.

All fairway yardage markers are measured to the CENTRE of the green and are immovable obstructions.
