Local Rules
1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Loss of stroke and distance)
a) Outside all fences, walls, hedges etc. forming the perimeter of the course.
b) A ball lying to the right of the 8th fairway or a ball lying to the right of the 9th fairway in the area defined by the white stakes and fence.
c) A ball lying in the hotel gardens or beyond the white posts on the right of the 11th fairway. The gardens on the right and to the back of the 18th green.
d) The garden of the private house behind the 10th tee.
e) The car park to the right-hand side of the 10th tee/fairway as marked.
2. PENALTY AREA (RED)
All ditches running alongside the 4th, 5th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 16th, 17th & 18th holes defined by red stakes (Rule 17).
3. PENALTY AREA (YELLOW)
All ditches not mentioned under penalty area (red) defined by yellow stakes (Rule 17).
4. WALLS
All walls and the protective fences to the side of the practice ground between the 8th and 9th holes are integral parts of the course.
5. STAKED TREES AND STAKED SHRUBS
Any ball coming to rest where the club might damage a staked tree or staked shrub MUST be lifted and dropped at the nearest point of relief not nearer the hole without penalty.
6. MAN-MADE PATHS AND SURFACES
A ball lying on any man-made path or surface may be lifted and dropped at the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole, without penalty.
7. SPRINKLERS
All fixed sprinkler heads and water control boxes are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 16.1. In addition, if such an obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green of the hole being played intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may obtain relief, without penalty, as follows: If the ball lies off the putting green but not in a penalty area and is within two club-lengths of the intervening obstruction, it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay which a) is not nearer the hole, b) avoids such intervention and c) is not in a penalty area or on a putting green.
8. All RUSTIC FENCES ARE IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 16.1)
9. FENCE
Interference by the fence on the 10th Hole – The player must determine the nearest point of relief from the fence without crossing over, through or under the obstruction. With reference, Rule 16.1.
Interference by an immovable obstruction occurs when a ball lies in or on the obstruction, or when the obstruction interferes with the player’s stance or the area of his intended swing.
INDEMNITY
All golfers use the facilities of Delta Hotels by Marriott Breadsall Priory Country Club entirely at their own risk.
All golfers are cautioned to take extra care on the golf course when negotiating foot bridges, uneven ground and water hazards.
GENERAL REMINDERS
All players must have their own golf bag. Sharing of bags/clubs is not permitted.
Dress Code, Trousers & shorts should be tailored or smart casual.
Denim jeans are not permitted. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Recognised golf wear allowed.
Replace Divots, Repair Pitchmarks and Rake Bunkers.
Players failing to adhere to golf course etiquette may be asked to leave the course.
