Moorland Course
Local Rules
1. OUT OF BOUNDS
(Loss of stroke and distance)
a) Outside all walls forming the perimeter of the course.
b) A ball lying to the right over the road at the 1st.
c) Balls finishing over the line of the security fence on the left-hand side of the 18th hole.
d) Car Park behind 1st tee.
2. WALLS
All walls are considered to be an integral part of the Course.
3. STAKED TREES
Any ball coming to rest where the club might damage a staked tree, MUST be lifted and dropped at the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole without penalty.
4. MAN-MADE PATHS AND SURFACES
A ball lying on any man-made path, including the stone-filled areas next to the 14th path, may be lifted and dropped at the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole, without penalty.
5. SPRINKLER
All fixed sprinkler heads and water boxes are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 16.1. In addition, if such an obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green of the hole being played intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may obtain relief, without penalty, as follows: If the ball lies off the putting green but not in a penalty area and is within two club-lengths of the intervening obstruction, it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay which a) is not nearer the hole, b) avoids such intervention and c) is not in a penalty area or on a putting green.
6. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS
a) The domes and stone stumps on the 11th.
b) All rustic fences are immovable obstructions (Rule 16.1).
INDEMNITY
All golfers who use the facilities of Delta Hotels by Marriott Breadsall Priory Country Club do so entirely at their own risk.
All golfers are cautioned to take extra care on the golf course when negotiating foot bridges, uneven ground and water hazards.
Please beware that you will be crossing a public highway to access the Moorland Course 2nd tee - care should be taken. Also when returning across the road to play the Moorland 18th hole.
GENERAL REMINDERS
All players must have their own golf bag. Sharing of bags/clubs is not permitted.
Dress Code, trousers & shorts should be tailored or smart casual. Denim jeans are not permitted. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Recognised golf wear allowed.
Replace Divots, Repair Pitchmarks and Rake Bunkers. Players failing to adhere to golf course etiquette may be asked to leave the course.
