Local Rules

1. Out of Bounds (Rule 18.2)

a) A ball lying beyond any fence, wall or hedge defining the boundary of the course.

b) A ball lying on or beyond the car park left of the 18th hole.

c) A ball lying beyond the perimeter fence behind the putting green when playing the 18th hole.

d) A ball lying within the perimeter fence surrounding the lake on the 3rd hole.

e) A ball lying left of the white marker posts on hole 7.

2. Immovable Obstructions (Relief may be taken under Rule 16.1b)

a) All artificial and constructed paths and stony surfaces used for footpaths and buggy tracks to include drainage lines.

b) The perimeter fence surrounding the lake on the 3rd hole.

c) The pod to the left of the 18th hole.

d) Timber posts, rails and tee steps.

e) Trees and shrubs supported by a stake or protected by a plastic guard.

3. Penalty Areas (Rule 17)

All penalty areas are now marked by red or yellow stakes, these areas include lakes, streams and jungle areas.

4. Fixed Sprinkler Heads and Junction Boxes

All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions and relief without penalty is available under Rule 16.1b. In addition, if a ball lies in the general area and an immovable obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief without penalty as follows: The ball must be lifted and dropped at the nearest point of complete relief to where the ball lay that a) is not nearer the hole, b) avoids intervention and c) is not in a penalty area or on a putting green. There is no relief under this Local Rule if the player chooses a line of play that is clearly unreasonable.
